I really like these starting points. I am liking the visual style of laying tyopgraphy & illustration over top of photography, it gives it a nice clean feel, but also keeps a bit of a professional look. I do like my illustrated idea but it doesnt have as much of an impact as the others. I dont like the grain on the photos, makes it less effective. I need a clear picture to make it better. Next step is to go out and take my own photos so that I can have more New Zealand photos & more particular in Wellington.
I think this visual style would work really well as a website/mobile app as well.
